SMART GROWTHGrowth has become an inevitable reality for our state. One of my greatest strengths is listening for and learning about what makes the most sense for our city as a whole, while understanding what residents absolutely don't want in the process. Strategic growth and change can be our opportunity to make Millcreek a place we always want to call home.

COMMUNITYCommunity means we know our neighbors and accept each others' differences. District 1 is the most socio-economic and racially diverse district in Millcreek, and I'm committed to building neighborhoods that allow the people who live there to thrive. This means development that serves the needs of residents, supporting programing that benefits families of all kinds, and serving the underserved, including the unsheltered. |
PRESERVATIONMillcreek stretches from the peaks of the Wasatch Front to the Jordan River. It's made up of open spaces, parks, streams, and community spaces that are well-loved and well-used. I will prioritize preservation of these spaces so that they can continue to be enjoyed for generations to come.

Hi. I'm Silvia.I've spent the last decade serving my neighbors. First as a member of my Community Council, and then as an elected member of Millcreek's inaugural City Council representing District 1. I've learned a lot in the last nearly seven years on the Council and I'm proud of how much we've accomplished as a new city.
But there's still a lot of work left to do. Since Millcreek's incorporation in 2016, I've been able to represent Millcreek residents in many capacities, including being the current Chair for both the Jordan River Commission and South Salt Lake Valley Mosquito Abatement District. I'm passionate about the work that the Millcreek Promise Program is doing and I've helped shape the new Promise Health Coalition. These interests have fueled me to do more for my city. As a long-time Millcreek resident, I've seen a lot of changes in my community. As a forward-thinking leader, I'm invested in the overall success of our city with an eye toward underserved populations. I'm committed to building community, being strategic about our city's growth, and prioritizing natural recreational amenities, parks, and community spaces. I believe that together, we can sustain a forward-thinking, much-loved, and unique Millcreek. I'm honored to be your Councilwoman and I'd love to earn your vote. |
